My work consists of several series in which I explore familiar and unfamiliar territories. My first photographic journeys were influenced by my interest in the clash of urban life and the natural world. As a child and adolescent I regularly escaped to remote natural areas hidden in the city. These spaces remain to be a refuge for the lost people and objects that inhabit them. I have found the solitary nature of my explorations is inherent in many of the pieces. My more recent photography is the product of further investigations on mainstream ideas of space and people. I will continue to explore new ideas and revisit the old.
